Papers (http://papersapp.com/) is looking to hire experienced Developers with proven Android development and C# with Xamarin.Android experience. Play a key role within a team of enthusiastic technologists, always seeking to learn new technologies.

Our ideal candidate will have some experience in the scientific field as well as a track record of developing elegant, user-focused software.

What you’ll do:
• Develop a native Android app using C# with Xamarin.Android.
• Create powerful yet simple user interfaces.
• Write testable code, applying current best practices.
• Have proven C# and Android development knowledge.
• Write lean, memory efficient, multi-core aware code, following best practices and suitable design patterns.
• Are familiar with design patterns such as MVC, MVP and MVVM.
• Are comfortable with Microsoft developer tools and a decentralised version control system.
• Have a passion for building elegant software and love to share your ideas with your team.
• Keep up to date with technology trends and believe in life-long learning.
• Ideally have a degree in computer science or a related discipline (STEM).
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bonus skills:
• Experience with Xamarin.Android.
• Experience with Rx and ReactiveUI.
• Experience with writing testable code, preferably in a TDD way.
• Experience with C++ and/or Objective-C, SQLite, and common scripting languages.
• Good understanding of a researchers needs: maybe you’ve worked in a research group or have esearch experience from a Master’s or PhD degree.
