Papers wants to speak to web designers with a keen interest in client-side JavaScript and Node. Play a key role within an experienced team of enthusiastic technologists, always seeking to learn new technologies.

We develop a solution that allows you to read, write, share and cite research documents on your Mac, PC, iPad and iPhone. Check out our new release

You will be responsible for web design, assisting with the development of server-side code and supporting Papers customers.

Design of web pages using the latest client-side techniques such as CSS3, HTML5, Bootstrap, Backbone, Underscore, AngularJS
Mobile web development
Preparation and editing of web content
Server-side JavaScript development of internal web applications: front line support, analytics, licensing system

You will have:

Web and graphic design skills
Client-side JavaScript
Solve problems independently
Good communication skills

A Bonus if you have…
Node.js or other server-side web framework
Interest in current and emerging web standards
Basic command line skills

We are looking for experienced Mac developers to join our growing team. Papers developers are strong team players that love building exceptional software for researchers. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the scientific field as well as a track record of developing elegant, user-focused software for the Mac. You will take ownership of new and existing features and get involved in all parts of the app’s overall development from API design to implementation.
