Senior Software Engineer, Sharing
Location: San Francisco and Seattle

A large enterprise, with millions of users, holds hundreds of millions of documents and transactional records.  Each record must be shared to only the people authorized to see it, depending on their position in various trust, social, and hierarchical webs: a matrix of a quadrillion possible combinations.  How can access be calculated, stored, communicated, and updated correctly and efficiently?

As a member of the Sharing team at Salesforce, you will be responsible for solving this problem.

You will ideally be:

·         skilled in SQL, including query optimization, preferably with experience in Oracle and Oracle PLSQL
·         a strong Java programmer, with an understanding of modern object oriented programming techniques and design patterns
·         familiar with Agile development methodology and committed to continual improvement of team performance
·         a good communicator and team player, able to both learn from and mentor your teammates
·         a careful and thorough quality engineer, responsible for writing your own functional and unit tests and helping review and test your teammates’ code
·         a passionate customer advocate, motivated by solving your customers’ needs and supporting their success
·         creative and visionary, but able to work incrementally and deliver customer value on schedule.
